Porcelain Doll Makeup Tutorial : Tampines 1 Beauty Blogger Challenge 2013

 Hello sweeties!
Today kick-starts the very first of my make-up tutorials for the
Tampines 1 Beauty Blogger Challenge 2013!

I've spent almost a week perfecting the design and overall look
of these tutorials right down to the minute details +
shooting the products and tutorial photos +
piecing the whole picture together.

Thus I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading my tutorials

as much as I've loved putting them together!image
* You can click on any picture to
expand them in full size!

The fact that Etude House's brand ambassadors like

One more overall shot of the products with their packaging removed~

imageLet's start the tutorial!image
STEP 1:
Glide the Etude House Goodbye Pore-ever Pore Primer Stick over areas
of your face where you wish to cover any signs of enlarged pores.
The primer works as a perfect base to apply the following steps of your make-up
regime as your skin tone will be evened out and fine lines, smoothed!
STEP 2:
The Etude House Precious Mineral BBdation kit comes with the
BBdation product (named BBdation as it is combines the
benefits of BB Cream with the high coverage of Foundation)
as well as a Hand Touch Applicator, which provides 8.500 micro
vibrations that gently massages the skin for
healthy stimulation for soft and supple skin!
Directions:
1. Place an appropriate amount of the BBdation product onto the
puff of the Hand Touch Applicator. Take caution to avoid any excess product
as too much foundation will result in a cakey and dull complexion.
2. Press the power button of the Hand Touch Applicator to operate it, then dab the
foundation on your forehead as cheekbone areas in a stamping motion.
3. Gently spread the foundation evenly on your entire face.

For a clearer idea, you can view this Nylon TV Korea tutorial

(though the makeup artist is speaking in Korean, she demonstrates very
well with her steps visually):
The model's skin looks deliciously glowy after
the BBdation application~

STEP 3:
Apply the peach shade from the Etude House Surprise Concealer
Kit #02 Dark Circle Brightening over your dark eye circles
(if you have panda eyes like me).
This will neutralize the colour of your eye area. Afterwards,
take the beige shade and pat it
gently over the are which you've applied the peach
shade to brighten your eye area!

Dark circles begone! Easy as 1, 2, 3~
STEP 4:
To add luster to your complexion and give it an all over healthy
glow like many Ulzzangs, dust the Etude House
Secret Beam Highlighter #01 Pink and White Mix over your cheekbones,
nose bridge, middle area above your upper lip, chin, middle area of
your forehead and your brow bones!

Now, your complexion should look as impeccable

and baby soft like a porcelain doll~

The other shade "Gold and Beige Mix" is equally desirable,
Can imagine using that shimmery product to glam my
look up for dinner parties and dressy events!

STEP 5:

Apply the Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher on your cheeks
in a circular motion by using it's oh-so-kawaii makeup puff~image
I choose the colour #06 Grapefruit Jelly as it
adds a really pretty coral rosiness to my cheeks.

Plus it's sebum control powder and coating pigments

promises long lasting properties and exceptional adhesiveness!

Pst! When I was selecting the products at the Etude House outlet
in Tampines 1, they had the very last Lovely Cookie Blusher #06 Grapefruit Jelly
on their shelves so I immediately grabbed it muahahahaha! It's no surprise
that it's one of the best selling and popular blusher shades~
Other shades from the Lovely Cookie Blusher collection-
I wish to collect them all! *drools*

Fairy godmother, grant me my wish please~
STEP 6:
Shape and fill in your brows with the Etude House Perfect Brow Kit.
Use the fluffy brush to apply the medium shade over
your brows for a natural look. Afterwards, apply the lightest
beige shade over your brow bones to highlight them!
There you have it- the perfect brows to frame your face and
bring attention to your pretty peepers!

If you're partying at night, use the darkest brown shade in this kit to add

more dimension and definition to your brows~
STEP 7:

The underside of the Etude House LUCIDarling Fantastic Gradation Eyes palette
has an illustrated diagram for step-by-step instructions!image
I took the pastel lavender shade and applied it over my
top lids for a romantic shimmery touch.

STEP 8:

Apply the pastel yellow shade from the Etude House LUCIDarling
Fantastic Gradation Eyes #11 Sugar Peach Pastel palette over the area
below your waterline to bring a radiant sparkle to your eyes~
STEP 9:
To amp up the sparkle in your eyes, apply the Etude House Tear Eyeliner on your
lower lash line and the inner corners of your eyes. This will open your eyes
and make them look bigger, wider and
dolly-like due to its crystal teardrop effect!image

You can also use this product to highlight the high points of your face!
For an affordable price point of $12.90- this gem is definitely a keeper.
STEP 10:
Line your eyes with the Etude House Oh~ m'Eye Line which comes in three shades:
 Oh m'Eye Black
 Oh m'Eye Grey
 Oh m'Eye Brown

I chose "Oh m'Eye Black" as I wanted this Porcelain

Doll look to pop vividly in photos~

The Etude House Oh~ m'Eye Line is designed to be long

lasting and smudge resistant- An important factor which
I always take into consideration when it comes to liquid eyeliners, and
this does not disappoint. Google this product up and you'll find
many positive reviews on it's staying power- even underwater! Hooray!
STEP 11:
No look is complete without a smouldering shade of lipstick.image
Well, not a sweet look anyway.
Lipstick can change the way you look- whether you're donning
a bejewelled or a casual date ensemble, the shade of your
lipstick can make or break your outfit.

Fret not, Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk to the rescue~
I choose the shade "Satisfied Coral" and applied it on
my lips for a natural looking base for
the Etude House Dear Darling Tint in the next step.
Did you know? The campaign behind Etude House Dear My
Blooming Lips Talk's has a "Kiss Note" concept. Think "Death Note",
but a sweeter version- Write the name of your crush with this magical lipstick
and he'll come to kiss you!

This, I believe is every girl's fantasy.

I'm already melting in my chair as I'm typing this.

Watch Sandara Park's and Shinee's commercial
about these magical lipsticks here!
STEP 12:
For a luscious pucker, dab the Etude House Dear
Darling Tint #01 Berry Red over the lipstick base that
you've created in the previous step.image

For this Porcelain Doll look, I chose to emulate

the lips of a doll by applying the lip tint over my lips
to form an alluring heart shaped pucker,
as seen in my tutorial pictures~
STEP 13:
For a delicious strawberry flush, lightly dab the Etude House Dear
Darling Tint #01 Berry Red on the apples of your cheeks.
Use sparingly, as a little goes a long way.
Blend the colour in a circular motion for a set of rosy cheeks~
STEP 14:
I reckon every girl's desire is to have long,
luscious eyelashes a la Kim Kardashian
but not everyone is lucky enough to be born with them.
I myself am not blessed with them good old' genes thus false eyelashes are
my absolute essentials to achieve a dolly-eyed look~image

Curl your lashes and apply Etude House Party Look Lash #010.image
These lashes are embellished with faux diamonds which adds a hint
of glamorous razzle dazzle to your look~
As Marilyn Monroe once said- "Diamonds are a girl's best friend!"
Indeed.

STEP 15:

To complete the wide-eyed innocent look, apply Etude House Lower Lash #011
against your lash line to enhance your Porcelain Doll look~
Make sure to cut lower falsies and resize them to fit your
eyes first for a natural look.

Now your peepers are set to electrify the boys

and take their breath away. *wink*
STEP 16:
This step is optional, but I wanted to make a statement
thus I chose to draw dotted circles on my cheeks by using
Etude House's Oh~ m'Eye Line, to look more animated and doll-like.

STEP 17:
If you have combination or oily skin, gently pat the
Etude House SHINISTAR Clear Pact over your troubled areas
to subdue any traces of facial oil for a luminous complexion.
Plus it contains Colostrum extracts
that protects the skin from dehydration with no irritations! Yippee!

Are you ready to see the final look?
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Now you're equipped up to steal the spotlight from Barbie
with your flawless, glowing complexion and sweet, innocent doe eyes.

For hair, tie it into two twin-tails and back-comb

or curl them for maximum volume.image
I'm laying down in these shots thus my hair looks extra voluminous.

Points if you've noticed my heart shaped cherry tinted lips.

I was inspired by the exquisite likes of Marie Antoinette.

I had always preserved a curious fascination with her lavish and
extravagant lifestyle, impeccable porcelain makeup and wardrobe.
Thus I wanted to channel the gorgeous perfection of the French Queen
in my Porcelain Doll makeup tutorial.

The strikingly attractive Ulzzang culture is another inspiration
which I drew from for this tutorial- I'm captivated
by their flawless appearances: those huge doll-like
eyes and luminous complexions are absolutely charming.
